Pedro started jiu-jitsu at 8 years old. He had always wanted to train, but the distance made it difficult to access. When the Pamplona Social Project arrived in Rio Pequeno, he found the opportunity he was looking for—and started training every day.

“Pamplona is my second family. In the worst moments, I know I have someone there to talk to. We share laughs, good times, and bad times, always together. We are a team, but more than that, a family.”

Today, his routine is divided between training, studying, fighting, and teaching classes. Inspired by his brothers and by Eduardo and Rodrigo Pamplona, Pedro dreams of building a career in sports, providing a better life for his family, and giving back everything he received from the project.

“P.W. arrived at Instituto Rizomas at 13, after a childhood marked by social isolation. He couldn't read or write and had great difficulty communicating and interacting.

With support, guidance, and new opportunities, he returned to school, developed his talent for drawing, and began dreaming of a career as a designer and animator.

Today, at 17, he reads literature, writes poetry, researches higher education, and has become a volunteer at Rizomas himself—a journey of autonomy, confidence, and new horizons.”

It is from this vision that Decor Social transforms living and communal spaces for children and adolescents in vulnerable situations, seeking to promote quality of life, well-being, and physical and emotional health.

Their methodology begins by listening to the children, staff, and organizations to create environments that embrace not only their needs but also their stories.
